How to use Sentiment Scanner?

The Sentiment Scan feature allows you to review the tone of messages you write in Secure Messaging. 

*Sentiment Scanner is only available to users on the Ultimate subscription

You can scan:

  • ✅ Messages you are drafting

  • ✅ Messages you have already sent

  • ❌ You cannot scan your co-parent’s messages

*Your co-parent cannot see the sentiment of your messages

Each scan will return one of three results:

  • Positive – Constructive and respectful tone

  • Neutral – Informational without strong tone

  • Negative – May contain language that could be viewed as confrontational

Scan a Draft Message

  1. .Begin composing your message in Secure Messaging.

  2. Tap the Sentiment Scan icon in the message toolbar.

  3. Review the sentiment result 

  4. Rate on how accurate you believe the scanner rated your message

Scan a Sent Message

Before scanning sent messages, you must enable Show Sentiment:

  1. Go to Account Settings.

  2. Open Secure Messaging Settings.

  3. Turn on Show Sentiment.

On the Website

  • Click the three dots above your sent message.

On Android and iOS

  • Press and hold your sent message.

  • Select Show Sentiment
