Our SMS Text Message Notifications are an add-on feature, which are not included in any of our plans. We charge 0.10 cents per text message.
When you first sign up for Text Message Notifications and provide payment information, we will charge your card $5.00 USD. Then, when your balance dips below $1.00 USD, we will automatically charge your card $5.00 to ensure you don't miss any messages.
Text messages are notifications that you have a new message or calendar event from your co-parent. These are not the messages or calendar events themselves sent by your co-parent. You must sign in to your TalkingParents account to view your messages or events.
You can Enable SMS Text Message Notifications anytime by following the instructions below:
- Sign in to your account online at TalkingParents
- Choose Account Settings from the drop-down menu
- Under Notifications, select Enable next to Text Notifications
- Select a previously saved card or follow the instructions to add a new payment method
- Click Pay and Enable
If you no longer want to receive Text Message Notifications, you can refund your remaining balance and turn off Text Message Notifications from inside your account while logged into our website.
Follow these instructions to turn off text notifications:
- Sign in to your account via a web browser
- Choose Account Settings from the menu on the left side of the screen
- Navigate to Notifications
- Toggle off Text notifications; this will disable text message notifications and refund your current balance to the card on file
- Click Confirm, and the remaining balance will be refunded to your account
