How do I enable Multi-Factor Authentication on my account?

If you're using the iPhone mobile app:

Follow the steps below to enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your TalkingParents account:

1) Go to Account Settings.

2) Select Sign-in & security

3) Under Sign-in & security, turn on the toggle next to Multi-Factor Authentication.

4) Enter the 6-digit code sent via text message to your phone number.

5) Enter the 6-digit verification code sent via text message to your mobile phone number

Please note when you update or change your phone number with Multi-Factor Authentication enabled on your account, the updated phone number will now be used for your Multi-Factor Authentication. 

 

If you're using the Android mobile app:

Follow the steps below to enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your TalkingParents account in your Android App:

1) Select the More Icon.

2) Select Account Settings.

3) Select General Information.

4) If the Toggle is gray, it is off.  To turn on, tap the toggle.

 

5) Enter the 6-digit verification code sent via text message to your mobile phone number.

6) After entering the code, your toggle will be green and Multi-Factor Authentication is now turned on.

 

Please note when you update or change your phone number with Multi-Factor Authentication enabled on your account, the updated phone number will now be used for your Multi-Factor Authentication. 

 

If you're using the website:

Follow the steps below to enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your TalkingParents account: 

 

1) Sign into your account through the TalkingParents website

2) Select the three lines in the upper left-hand corner.

3) Select Account Settings

4) Under General, select the toggle next to Multi-factor Authentication. Grey means that it is disabled, Green means that it is enabled

5) Enter the 6-digit code sent via text message to your phone number.

6) Enter the 6-digit verification code sent via text message to your mobile phone number

Please note when you update or change your phone number with Multi-Factor Authentication enabled on your account, the updated phone number will now be used for your Multi-Factor Authentication.
