How can I upload and send a file to my co-parent?

If you're using the iPhone mobile app:

Parents are able to send each other files as attachments with Messages in TalkingParents. Follow the instructions below to attach files to your Messages. Keep in mind that the images shown are from an iPhone. If you are accessing TalkingParents from a different device, some features may appear differently, however, the process remains the same:

1) Below the box where your message is typed, click the plus sign (+)

2) You should now be given the option to select which location you would like to select your files from.

3) Select the file you would like to upload and select Add

 

4) Once your file is attached select the green up arrow. 

 

If you're using the Android mobile app: 

Parents are able to send each other files as attachments with Messages in TalkingParents. Follow the instructions below to attach files to your Messages. 

1) Below the box where your message is typed, click Attachments

2) You should now be given the option to select which location you would like to select your files from.

3) Select the file(s) you would like to add. You will add individually.

 

4) Make sure your Message has a Subject and text written in the Message field.

 

5) Once your file is attached select Send.

 

If you're using the website: 

Follow the instructions below to attach files to your Messages when using the TalkingParents website:

  1. Below the box where your message is typed, select Add attachments or Insert files from the Vault

  2. If you select Add attachments, you can choose to attach from your Photo Library, Take Photo or Video, or Choose Files

  3. If you select Insert files from the Vault, you'll be taken directly to the Vault
  4.  Select the file you would like to upload and select Add (or Insert if adding from the Vault)
  5. You'll see the attachments outlined by a green box with an x in the top right corner right underneath the message body.

  6. Select Send to send both your message and attachment(s).
