Pending Match means your account has not been matched with your co-parent and is not activated.
You can not start communicating through TalkingParents until your co-parent creates an account. Once your co-parent signs up and your accounts are matched, you will receive an email notification that your account is activated. When your account is activated, you can sign in and begin communicating with your co-parent.
While in the Pending Match state, you can edit your information or send your co-parent a Match ID to match your accounts.
If you know your co-parent's email address or mobile phone number, you can send them a Match ID to easily match with your account. You can share the six-character Match ID with your co-parent by email, text, or copying the code and sending it to them directly.
To send the Match ID via email:
- Sign in using the website
- Select Send invitation to co-parent
- Choose Email
- Enter your co-parent's email address
- Hit Send
Your co-parent will receive an email with your Match ID to enter to match with you!
To send the Match ID via mobile phone number:
- Sign in using the website
- Select Send invitation to co-parent
- Choose Text
- Enter your co-parent's mobile phone number (The phone number must be able to receive text messages.)
- Hit Send
Your co-parent will receive a text message with your Match ID to enter to match with you!
Your co-parent does not need to receive a Match ID from you to sign up. They can visit TalkingParents.com and sign up without a Match ID.
If you think your co-parent may be acting in violation of a court order by not signing up, or you would like to find out what support may be available through the legal system, we recommend you contact an attorney or the court itself.
